Anthony Dockrill, program director at 2SER, said: “Every radio lover knows the impact of this historic broadcast from the ‘Golden Days of Radio’ and we wanted to pay homage to the 75th anniversary of the broadcast this Halloween eve in a way that would be relevant today. Many of our listeners and social media followers worked out what we are doing and played along.”

Dockerill adapted War of the Worlds 2013 from the original novel and broadcast with Roderick Chambers. The show will be available on podcast from the 2SER website from today.

2SER maintains it is one of several radio dramas produced by the community broadcaster in conjunction with the Woodstock Radio Theatre Company this year.
