Newsmodo to provide content support to the National Basketball League for season 2015/16

InstagramOnline content marketing agency, Newsmodo, has been named as the official content supplier for the National Basketball League, Mumbrella can reveal.

Newsmodo will provide content support to the NBL on a weekly basis for the 2015/16 season. Newsmodo has been working with the NBL throughout the 2015 season, with content expected to ramp up for the finals and into the next season.

NBL general manager, Jeremy Loeliger, said in a statement: “Ensuring our NBL fans and Club members have access to regular and consistent content is vital to supporting the growth of our sport.

“Fans crave access to their favourite players and teams and want to know what is happening 24/7. Our Newsmodo partnership extends our reach beyond our internal capabilities.”

The NBL website has a news section which covers off game results and provides commentary on players. It also features podcast and video content.

Newsmodo CEO, Rakhal Ebeli, said in a statement: “Our partnership with the NBL provides an exciting opportunity to leverage Newsmodo’s ‘always on’ editorial capabilities.

“By delivering game previews, reports, features and bespoke photography each week, we empower fans to feel closer to the action than ever before.

“As the trend towards brands becoming publishers of quality content continues, Newsmodo is well positioned to lead the way, by connecting clients like the NBL with our ‘global newsroom’ of talented journalists and freelance media producers.”

The appointment follows Newsmodo’s appointment late last month of MCN’s Matthew Bartlett as sales director.
