4.55pm update:

Looks like Max has stampeded Nine into making an official announcement:

Channel Nine and Fremantle Media announces filming is now underway on The Celebrity Apprentice.

The Apprentice Australia’s Mark Bouris, one of the country’s most successful high-profile businessmen and Chairman/Co-Founder of wealth management company Yellow Brick Road, will helm the series.

In Celebrity Apprentice some of Australia’s most well-known and controversial celebrities will be working towards raising money for their various charities.

Joining Mark Bouris in the boardroom will be:

  •  Pauline Hanson: Politician
  • Polly from The Block: Reality Star
  • Jason Coleman: Dance Guru
  • Max Markson: Agent to the Stars
  • Julia Morris: Comedienne
  • Jesinta Campbell: Beauty Queen
  • Wendell Sailor: Footy Champion
  • Shane Crawford: AFL Legend
  • Lisa Curry Kenny: Olympian
  • Deni Hines: Australian Singer
  • Didier Cohen: International Model
  • Warwick Capper: 80’s Icon

At stake is $100,000 for the winning ‘Celebrity Apprentice’.

All of the (in-) famous contestants will be competing in challenges using their fame, along with their contacts, to win for their respective charitable causes.

The celebrities will be subjected to long hours, grueling mental challenges, and intense scrutiny…all without their usual safety net and support team of agents, managers and personal assistants.

Executive Producer Karen Warner said:

“We have gathered an amazing group of celebrities who have all generously taken time out of their busy lives to help make a difference to a charity they’re passionate about,”

Celebrity Apprentice is feel-good, family viewing with fun challenges and a chance to see how far some of Australia’s biggest personalities will go in the name of charity.

Not only will our contestants be using their charm, wit and fame to raise money, but they will also be opening their contact books of celebrity friends to muster up as much support as possible.”

Yellow Brick Road Executive Chairman Mark Bouris said:

“Our contestants have a great opportunity to raise money for people who deserve a chance at a better future. I look forward to seeing how the celebrities use their business and show business skills to benefit their charities.”

The Celebrity Apprentice will air on Channel Nine later this year.
