A mining tax? We’ve heard it all before apparently
Does all this talk about the mining tax remind you of anything?
Here’s the CFMEU’s take on it, created with a bit of a twist by The Chaser’s Charles Firth.

Okay here’s my point.
Good political advertising should not be so easy to rebut.
The logic in this ad isn’t even wafer thin – so a rebuttal ad is child’s play.
eg:
OPEN AN ABORIGINAL LEADER SPEAKING TO HIS PEOPLE AS THE FIRST FLEET ARRIVES
“Trust me, they won’t stay here long”
CUT TO A SHOT OF A POLITICIAN TALKING TO THE TROOPS AS THEY LEAVE FOR GALLIPLOI.
“Trust me, you’ll overrun the Turks in no time”
CUT TO A SHOT OF A POLITICIAN TALKING ON TV.
“Trust me, the world’s highest mining taxes will just make mining stronger.
SUPER/VO You’ll heard it all before. When a politician says trust me – don’t
