A political storm hits the Today show

It’s bad enough having to rush to Canberra in the middle of the night to do a five-hour live broadcast in a sleep deprived state.

And to add injury to insult Nine’s Today show was hit by a gust of wind which brought its gazebo down on the head of host Lisa Wilkinson live on air.

And to think Sunrise EP Michael Pell was worrying last week about the challenges of Seven’s five country broadcast.

The segment following the tent collapse also makes compelling viewing with Karl Stefanovic asking Wilkinson if she was concussed, and noting: “Lucky to be alive we are…”
