ACP launches ‘growing category’ catalogue arm

ACP has launched a new catalogue division and announced the hire of Mark Paton as general manager.

Paton has a background in custom publishing and print production and was previously general manager at Hardie Grant magazines.

ACP publishing director Gerry Reynolds said in a press release: “We are excited about the potential for this new business venture, as catalogues continue to be a growing media category”.

In another move to diversify its media offering across platforms, ACP has announced that all its titles will be using ‘viewa,’ its augmented reality app for smartphones and tablets by early October.

Reynolds said “Our unique combination of consumer insights and engagement, superior styling and photography, 360 degree digital solutions and production know-how – not to mention the manifold benefits of our new augmented reality app, viewa – will create a compelling offer for brands which use catalogues as part of their media mix. The catalogue division is a logical complement to our award-winning custom media business.”
