Adam Boland announces again that he is leaving Seven
Adam Boland, the man who took Seven’s Sunrise to number one and created The Morning Show, says he is to leave the network.
Boland posted a message on his Facebook page this afternoon saying: “Big life decision today. After almost 14 years, I have told Seven I won’t be renewing beyond February. It’s time to leave home. Gulp…”
However, it is not the first time Boland has announced his departure from the network before being persuaded to change his mind.
He stepped down from the helm of Sunrise and The Morning Show in November 2010. He was then briefly in a legal stoush with the network over his contract, but signed back on as director of social media and strategy in July 2011.
He talked to Mumbrella editor Tim Burrowes about his time at the helm in 2010:
Boland has been coy about his plans – he said on Twitter: “Decided not to renew beyond February. Love the place but I think it’s time to leave home.” However, speculation will immediately begin on whether his next stop will be Ten. The network axed its show Breakfast at the end of last year, but signalled that it wanted to try again during 2013.
Oh yawn haven’t we heard this all before?

Sunrise could do with someone new at the helm. Has become a bit mundane. Tired old segments
