Adshel and Destination NSW team up to promote second game of Origin

Go The Blues Central Station 1Adshel and Destination NSW have teamed up for an outdoor campaign promoting the second game of the NRL State of Origin series.

The announcement:

Adshel and Destination NSW have teamed up to ignite the intense interstate rivalry surrounding the NRL State of Origin series. An out of home campaign promoting the crucial second game of the 2014 series, kicking off at ANZ Stadium on June 18 launches this week.

Running until June 19, the “#UPTHEBLUES” campaign in support of NSW’s historic Origin title chase will take advantage of Adshel’s digital network with a dynamic campaign across Sydney’s CBD stations.

A high impact ‘Station Domination’ of one of Australia’s largest and busiest transit hubs, Sydney’s Central station will complement the digital execution.

The domination will rally New South Welshman with large-scale #UPTHEBLUES branded floor decals, wall graphics and pillar panels across the entire station

Adshel’s CMO, Nicole McInnes said the campaign and station domination demonstrated the power of outdoor advertising to bring the community together around a shared pride in the NSW team.

“We are thrilled that Destination NSW have decided to partner with us to make the most of our Sydney Trains network. The rivalry between NSW and QLD is long known, and to utilise our network to tap into millions of Sydneysider’s love of the Blues is a great way to engage commuters in this landmark State of Origin match,” she said.

“Over 1.4 million commuter journeys are made across Sydney Train’s network every day, meaning whatever team you support, this campaign is going to be pretty hard to miss. So we should probably apologise now to those in Sydney who may be backing Queensland!” she added.

Enhancing Adshel’s market-leading national street furniture platform, the Sydney Trains advertising network includes a near 200-screen digital display and interactive network across 14 CBD and inner- suburb Sydney Train stations including key city circle hubs, Bondi Junction, Chatswood, North Sydney and Central.
