Aegis Media launches social media unit The Social Hatch
Media group Aegis has launched a specialist social media unit.
The Social Hatch will provide Aegis Media’s agencies – which include Mitchells, Carat, MPG, Vizeum and Visual Jazz Isobar – with advice on social media, as well as win clients of its own.
It will be run by Kristen Boschma, who moves over from Aegis-owned PR agency Haystac, where she was head of digital and social media.
“Within Aegis Media we have numerous agencies servicing our client’s social media needs. They’ll continue to do so; the difference is that we now have in place a central unit that can provide strategic input for clients across our businesses when required and bring together all our knowledge and expertise in the social media field,” she said.
Boschma has worked in marketing and comms roles at The Age, ANZ, Baker Heart Research Institute, Veda Advantage and Telstra.
“Some of our clients have told us that they want to embrace social media but at times it seems difficult to navigate, hard to resource, challenging to get cut-through or downright scary. The Social Hatch is about having it all; growth without compromise,” she added.
