Agencies don’t understand blogs

“I have a little bee in my bonnet with Australia and our very slow uptake and understanding of the importance and power of online blogging platforms. Us bloggers are feeling very unloved here because our marketers and advertisers just don’t ‘get’ us”

  2. maybe they dont get you because you’re not good communicators. For example, you’ve got my attention by having an whinge but have failed to tell me why i should value you. Instead, i was galled by a pretentious video by some egomaniac called Jonathan Pease

  4. While the truth is somewhere in between (Australian PR hacks are getting better, but are behind their peers in the US), I don’t think a blogger with an Alexa rank of 4,322,675 should be concerned about PR folk not paying attention.

  6. Certainly in the tech world, early adopters are definitely moving on from blogging. Long time bloggers are often way down in their number of posts, comments on many blogs have dropped precipitously, and those who have been well known bloggers are often frequent twitterers. This may not yet be happening in “mainstream” blogs, but it wouldn’t be a bad bet to suggest it will.
