Media agencies line up for NSW government pitch this week
Some of Australia’s biggest media agencies are preparing to pitch for one of the largest government accounts with UM, OMD and incumbent agency Mediacom understood to be on the NSW government list.
It is understood the NSW government has given the agencies just a few days’ notice to prepare for the pitch which will be held in Sydney this week. Some rumours suggest that Starcom and an Aegis agency may also be on the list.
The state government account is currently shared by Mediacom and Adcorp and is believed to be worth around $70-80m. Adcorp handles recruitment advertising while Mediacom manages the broader government buying. Mediacom has held the account for more than 20 years.
The account was put out to tender back in early April.
