Agencies to pitch live on stage at Mumbrella360

m360Agencies will take place in a pitch live on stage at Mumbrella360 with a brief to devise a strategy to bring the local film industry closer to efforts to market the country overseas.

The tough brief will see five agencies – one representing each discipline of creative, digital, experiential, PR and social media – invited to participate.

The live pitch is being run in conjunction with industry funding body Screen Australia and Tourism Australia. The process will be led by pitch doctor Darren Woolley, managing director of relationship specialists Trinity P3.

Mumbrella360 takes place in this first week of June, with an afternoon of industry networking on June 3 and then a two day media and marketing conference on June 4 and 5.

The five agencies will be invited to tackle a brief aimed at leveraging the output of the Australian film and TV industry to promote Australia internationally.

At the event each agency will have ten minutes to present their strategy live on stage to an expert panel and the Mumbrella360 audience.

The intention of the session is to offer insights both into how a pitch is run, and the variety of strategic approaches different types of agency can take to the same brief.

Agency involvement with the session will be by invitation only, via Trinity P3. The winning agency will be invited to a follow-up meeting with Screen Australia.

Along with Woolley, the panel will also feature Tourism Australia chief marketing officer Nick Baker and Kathleen Drumm, marketing director of Screen Australia.
