GroupM’s digital agency Agency M is to rebrand for the second time in just over two years, with former Yahoo7 executive Renee Fittock being appointed to head the agency.

Fittock replaces Gary Nissim as general manager after he departed the agency to launch his own operation Indago Digital in February.

“To establish an organisation like GroupM Connect in the Australian market is a really rare opportunity that could not be surpassed,” said Fittock, in a statement.

“In this diverse role, I am able to leverage my business management and performance marketing expertise, and scale an organisation of fun, bright and engaged specialists in online marketing, performance and biddable advertising.

Fittock was previously head of trading and platforms at Yahoo7.

In April 2013, GroupM relaunched its search business Outrider Australia as agency M telling the market the new agency would be a ‘gateway’ for startups and new technology.

Connect_PrimaryLogo_CMYKIt is understood that the decision to rebrand the agency GroupM Connect was part of a global decision which will see its tools and processes division GroupM Interaction merged under the brand.
