Independent creative agency AJF Partnership has acquired Melbourne-based creative business Freeform in a move that will see the business’ clients, including gourmet pizza brand Crust, integrated in AJF’s Melbourne and Sydney offices.

According to AJF founding partner Andrew Fabbro the acquisition was a strategic move based on the agencies sharing similar cultures and values.

In a statement he said: “We’re delighted to welcome Freeform’s clients to our fold and also to welcome Richard Overall, who adds valuable experience and expertise to our growing content creation capabilities in both Melbourne and Sydney.”

Overall, Freeform creative director, will join AJF Melbourne as content director,  bringing to the role over two decades of experience in the marketing communications industry.

All full-time staff at Freeform have moved across to AJF, which launched in 2005 and has a team of 85 in its Melbourne office and 25 based in Sydney.

Its clients include News Corp Australia, Pacific Brands, RAMS, Wild Turkey, Perpetual, Holden, University of Melbourne, Betfair, Lion (beverages), Officeworks, Federal Government – ANPHA, IG Markets, Campari Group, iSelect and Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

Most recently the agency has worked on campaigns for Dare Iced Coffee, News Corp’s Mr Men book promotion and a back-to-school campaign for Officeworks.
