Alexandra Kelly, the head of Ogilvy PR Melbourne’s consumer practice, is to lead the agency following the shift of current MD Lelde McCoy to a national role at OgilvyEngage.

OgilvyEngage is the agency’s social marketing and behaviour change practice, which launched in June this year.

OgilvyEngage has seen “strong and sustained” growth from new clients in the government and private sectors during the past 12 months, according to a press release.

McCoy will be based in Melbourne, and lead a team of three full time staff.

Ogilvy PR Australia CEO Kieran Moore said: “Lelde and her team have had a fantastic year, and the time is right for her to focus on building the new OgilvyEngage practice which was launched globally earlier this year and which has much growth potential in the Australian marketplace.”

Kelly’s brief as managing director is to grow Ogilvy PR Melbourne, integrate the agency with the wider Ogilvy & Mather group of companies, which includes Badjar Ogilvy and DTDigital, and expand the agency’s offer.

She will be supported by Tammy Walker, who remains in the general manager role, and director Kelly Ward.

Moore added: “With the rest of Ogilvy PR Melbourne also going from strength to strength, we believe this new structure positions us well for further business growth in Melbourne.

Ogilvy PR Melbourne has around 10 staff.
