Announcing Mentor Matchmaking Melbourne: Calling on the media and marketing industry to lend their expertise to charities
Advertising, marketing and media executives interested in donating their time and expertise to charities are being invited to connect with them in a speed-dating style networking event in Melbourne, organised by media industry charity UnLtd.The free charity event, supported by Mumbrella, will see potential mentors able to book a series of 15-minute meetings with individual charities to find out more about their cause, their challenges and mentoring needs.
The types of volunteer activities UnLtd charities will be looking for from mentors includes digital planning, marketing strategies, creative, production, social media activations and amplification, financial planning and business planning.
The charities involved in the networking afternoon includes Lighthouse Foundation, Child Wise, Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre, Red Dust Role Models, The Pyjama Foundation, Youthworx, SYN, Skills Plus, Van Wright Foundation, Ganbina, Lord Somers Camp and Powerhouse, Whitelion and Berry Street.
It follows on from a successful first Mentor Matchmaking session in Sydney which saw all of the charities involved successfully matched with top industry mentors.
The Mentor Matchmaking Melbourne event takes place at the Channel 9 building at Docklands, Melbourne on Thursday, 3 September.
There are limited places available, and will work on a first come, first served basis.
