  2. Obviously no-one told Optus that tigers come from Asia, not Africa… doh.

  8. Just to clarify, that billboard at Broadway definitely features a tiger, as did the full page advert on the back cover of last Saturday’s magazine in the Sydney Morning Herald. According to the animal police (aka my kids) the others are all indeed from Africa…

  10. Tiger or Cheetah is besides the point… I think the Creative is GREAT. Considering that the last few rounds of creative weren’t anything amazing… I would love to see an extended version of this for a launch…

  12. Seriously.. a tiger on an ad for the South African World Cup. Doesn’t matter how incredible the creative is, its just ridicules that someone like Optus (or their creatives) would do that.

Its like putting the Asian elephant in an ad for the Australian Olympics. What about the king of all of them guys. the LION!

  14. I am sorry, the add looks great but do some research before you spend so much money!!! its like putting the Sydney harbor bridge in an advert promoting Melbourne!
Tigers are not from Africa! there are plenty of other strong animals that would have been great! LION for one! the strength and power of an African Lion! Amazing! lol

  16. I am embarrassed for Optus! I saw the billboard coming out of the airport and I couldn’t believe it! If they were hoping to get people talking about the ad then they certainly succeeded…It’s amazing that they have a TV ad full of amazing African animals and then they choose a TIGER to use on their billboards!! I’m suprised one of the competitor providers haven’t figured this out yet…
