Are you Yahoo Serious?
Today News.com.au asks the big question of the day – Whatever happened to Young Einstein star Yahoo Serious?
Indeed the author of the piece, Matthew Murphy, writes it was a question asked of an Australian friend of his living in New York while on a date: “‘That is a question no Australian has asked in 20 years,’ my friend informed her date.”
But that’s untrue. Indeed Dr Mumbo and a colleague were discussing the same question just this week. And when you actually perform a Google search for old Yahoo what comes up is his IMDB profile, a couple of Young Einstein links, and several articles asking ‘Where is Yahoo Serious now?’.
And then Wil Anderson jumped in on Twitter to remind everyone he actually recorded a whole podcast with Rove McManus two years ago on the very same topic:
While the News.com.au article manages to do a decent job of reproducing his IMDB and Wikipedia page, it never actually gets close to answering the question.
So this Mumbrella click bait has its readers read these vacuous column centimetres with no resolution? Are you guys serious? Twits.

The incredulity of it all that they didn’t know you’d been having a chat about it earlier this week! Unbelievable!
In all seriousness, are things a little slow over there? Are you OK? How did you find the time to bother reading news.com.au let alone getting so uppity about some secondhand comment that probably never happened that you felt compelled to put even 15 minutes in to writing this article and taking screenshots.
Just Google the phrase ‘questions no one asks’ and you’ll find over a million results – claim that you did ask some of those questions and you’re in the money for dozens, nay, hundreds more amazing mumbrella articles just like this one – hop to it lads there’s gold in them thar high quality content hills!

How did his lawsuit against Yahoo go?

He used to be a semi-regular customer at a bottle shop I worked in back around 2010 up on the Northern Beaches, assuming he’s still living quiet comfortably up that way. Fun Fact, Yahoo Serious is his actual name, printed on his credit card and all. Case closed.

Go to his website, if it’s still up. You won’t be disappointed.
