Bauer Media seeking new owner for Auto Action
Bauer Media will cease publishing motorsport magazine Auto Action across print, digital and social channels.
The magazine publisher is presently seeking a new owner for the masthead, a spokesperson told Mumbrella.
The final print edition under Bauer’s tenure will go on sale May 5.
The decision to offload the title follows on from the magazine publisher closing Top Gear in October last year and selling three of its motorcycle titles – Australian Motorcycle News, Australasian Dirt Bike and Motorcycle Trader – to boutique publisher Citrus Media in August.
According to Bauer Media’s press kit for the magazine, Auto Action had a weekly readership of 99,000.
Earlier this month, the magazine publisher appointed Nick Chan as its CEO and relaunched its teenaged girl masthead Dolly as a digital first property accompanied by a bi-monthly print magazine.
