BBC footage and an Auburn swimming pool combine for John West Tuna
A TV ad for John West Tuna that tells the story of a fisherman competing with sea gulls, sea lions and sharks in a bait ball of tuna combined BBC documentary footage with original images shot at a swimming pool in Auburn, New South Wales. The campaign was created by Grey Melbourne.
Print and path to purchase executions will support the TV work, which will run until late May.
Stuart Sterling, marketing manager, shelf seafood, Simplot Australia, said: “the spot builds on John West’s history of successful advertising, while bringing the brand proposition to life in a new and fresh way.”
“The communication captures the simple truth that consumers are increasingly looking for foods that are real and authentic and contain only all natural ingredients. This execution delivers the message on a grand scale that is unmistakably John West.”

Good work I think, nice linkage to the previous man vs bear campaign for salmon, seems to me to be a theme they could continue further yet
