Dr Mumbo

The Big Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Theory

When audiences are slow, it can’t be much fun being a programming boss.

Happily, Nine has the answer to its 2011 ratings malaise: The Big Bang Theory.

With next week’s schedule amendments now available, it appears that the network plans to air The Big Bang Theory15 times. Which beats, Dr Mumbo thinks, the record for Two And A Half Men which peaked at nine episodes in a week.

There are nine episodes of Big Bang Theory scheduled for Nine and a further six for sister digital channel Go.

Of the 15 episodes, 14 are repeats.

With 23 episodes in a season, that’s two thirds of a season in a single week.

Last night, Nine aired two episodes with the better performer pulling in just 823,000 viewers.

Fifteen tiems times a week, what could possibly go wrong?
