Big Bash continues to dominate, out-rating Seven’s Pets Make You Laugh Out Loud 2

Seven’s repeat of Pets Make You Laugh Out Loud 2 was the tenth most-watched show last night, with Ten’s Big Bash continuing to be the most popular non-news program.

pets make you laugh out loudPets Make You Laugh Out Loud 2 was watched by 577,000 in the 7.30pm timeslot. Last year when it first aired, in a 9.10pm timeslot, the animal home video clip show managed 644,000 viewers.

Ten’s Big Bash saw 755,000 metro viewers tune in for session two to witness the Perth Scorchers defeat the Sydney Thunder, in Sydney.

The match, which aired from 7.30pm, saw 675,000 tune in for session one while session two was the most-watched show across all the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54).

Both the Big Bash and Seven’s pets clip show out-rated Nine’s Great Getaways which saw 493,000 metro viewers tune in at 7.30pm.

The success of the Big Bash saw Ten win the night with an audience share of 19 per cent, well ahead of Seven’s share of 15.6 per cent. Nine settled for third place with an audience share of 15.3 per cent while the ABC grabbed a share of 12.4 per cent.

In the news, Seven News topped the night with a 6pm audience of 969,000, dipping to 903,000 at 6.30pm.

Nine News pulled in 883,000 at 6pm, growing to 921,000 from 6.30pm.

On the ABC, 7.30 Summer was watched by 678,000, QI (8pm) pulled in 551,000 and New Tricks (8.30pm) was watched by 566,000.
