To an ACP Magazines lunch held to remind the market of the general awesomeness of Australian Women’s Weekly.
And editor Helen McCabe was keen to remind the audience that the magazine’s readership reach is every bit as impressive as a TV show.
She’d barely got into the comparison with Ten’s Masterchef when she was interrupted by boss David Gyngell, CEO of parent company Nine Entertainment Co. The comparison rapidly became with Nine’s The Block.
Interesting that magazines won’t compare themselves with the readership of websites or even Facebook pages, but go for TV – a medium with much less in common.
