BMF appoints former Manchester City FC marketing head
BMF has drafted Manchester City Football Club’s marketing head Chris Kay into the role of head of account management.
The announcement:
As part of the process of strengthening the Agency Leadership team, BMF has hired Chris Kay to the new role of Head of Account Management.
Chris was previously Head of Account Management at Fallon in London, before taking on his current role as Head of Marketing at Manchester City Football Club.
Comments CEO, Jeremy Nicholas, “We spent four months scouring the world for the best person to lead BMFʼs account management team. Chris was the best candidate we met on that journey. BMF has always had very strong account management. We wanted to ensure we got the very best we could to lead the group. Chris has proven during his career he has a unique mix of passion for creative work, pragmatic business understanding and a big entrepreneurial streak. Chris is a great addition to our leadership team and will improve our delivery to clients.”
Chris Kay remarked, “The opportunity to join the leadership team of Australiaʼs Agency of the decade as it kicks on to the next level was too good to pass up. BMF has that perfect mix of strategic rigour, creative ambition and account management polish, that Iʼm looking forward to be part of.”
Chris will be joining on 10 January 2011, working specifically on the Commonwealth Bank account.

Clearly I’m biaised as hell, being a Man City fan, but I really do think that the marketing at MCFC has been absolutely spot on over the last few years – loads of fan engagement, really winding up the other half of the city too, so good luck to Chris at BMF.
