BMF CEO Dominic Stinton departs agency after 18-months
BMF CEO Dominic Stinton is set to depart the agency to return to the UK after just over a year-and-a-half with the agency, Mumbrella can reveal.
Stinton joined BMF in August 2013, following two-and-a-half years as managing director of VCCP’s social media and experiential arm VCCP Share in London, an agency he was involved in launching.
Steve McArdle has been named the new managing director of the agency from the role of managing partner, while Christina Aventi takes the role of executive planning director after holding a senior planning role at the agency for nearly a decade.
It has been a tough 18 months for BMF which saw the agency fold it’s Melbourne office into fellow-Enero creative agency Naked Communications last September, losing the MLA lamb account to The Monkeys and recently losing the lead position on the Toohey’s roster.
Mumbrella understand Stinton’s departure was announced to the agency last week.
Matthew Melhuish, BMF executive chairman said: “I want to thank Dom for his contribution to the business, particularly his passion and deep commitment to the quality of our creative work. He has been a great colleague and we wish Dom all the very best in his next endeavours.
“It is always wonderful be able to promote from within and both Steve and Christina are outstanding choices for their new roles.”
On his departure Stinton said: “I’ve had a terrific time here and I leave more confident in BMF than ever. The team is making absolutely brilliant work for our clients. BMF has a great buzz and energy about it and the current team has my utmost respect. I know they will continue to achieve great results.”
Stinton replaced Jeremy Nicholas who departed the Enero agency in April 2013.
BMF clients include Aldi , Ten, the Australian government, George Weston Foods, FFA, Weight Watchers, P&O Cruises, Nestle, the Royal Commission and Meat & Livestock Australia (beef).
