Bodey: Production stuff-up

A News Limited title has published the embargoed result of the winner of the Gold Logie for the second year running.

This time round, The Australian published Michael Bodey’s report on Asher Keddie winning the top prize at the Australian TV awards about three hours before the announcement was made on TV.

Bodey said on Twitter that the report was a “total stuff up by production team”.

Last year, the leak came from The Herald Sun with then editor Simon Pristel blaming Google for searching the back end of the newspaper’s system and finding an unpublished story, a claim that was swiftly discredited.

TV Tonight reports that as well as on The Australian’s website, Bodey’s report was republished on other titles across News Limited’s network.

Nine broadcasts The Logies on several hours delay.
