Bogart Torelli and Glenn Daniel join Smoothfm in Sydney as Mark Robinson departs

Bogart Torelli

2CH’s Bogart Torelli and ABC’s Glenn Daniel are the latest radio presenters to join Smoothfm’s Sydney station.

Torelli replaces Byron Webb in the drive slot as Webb moves to 1-4pm weekdays to be heard in both Melbourne and Sydney.

Webb replaces Mark Robinson, who has moved to sports radio service Crocmedia to take on a role as content director.

Prior to 2CH, Torelli spent ten years with Mix 106.5.

The change begins from 5 November.

Recent additions to the Smoothfm line up include presenter Cameron Daddo, and celebrity slots with Seal and Michael Bublé during the station’s launch.

Also moving to Smoothfm 95.3 is Glenn Daniel, currently a news journalist for ABC NewsRadio.

Daniel will join Ed Phillips on More Music Breakfast Show from Monday 26 November.

Paul Jackson, dmg Radio Australia’s group program director said: “We are delighted to have Sydney radio heavyweights and among the best voices on radio, Bogart and Glenn, join smoothfm’s outstanding line up.”

Jackson continued: “With local breakfast shows hosted by Ed and Mike, a strong team across the day with Ty Frost, Byron and David Reyne, two quality female broadcasters, Bogart and Cathy Dinn, now driving listeners home in Sydney and Melbourne, our high profile weekend line up with a backdrop of great tracks that listeners love, smoothfm is a great position for success.”

On Robinson’s departure, Jackson said: “Mark initially joined smoothfm in an operations role so the move to content director is a natural progression and will allow him to work on producing and developing new shows in the sporting arena. We would like to thank Mark for his contribution to helping get smoothfm off the ground.”
