The Bolt Report to return in new one-hour format

Network Ten will expand The Bolt Report to a new one-hour format when it returns in March. The show, hosted by columnist Andrew Bolt, will have two screenings every Sunday.

The announcement:

Network Ten today announced The Bolt Report will return from its summer break on Sunday, March 2, in a new, expanded one-hour format.

The new-look The Bolt Report will be seen on TEN at 10am every Sunday, with a special encore presentation at 4pm on the same day.

Hosted by Australia’s most-read newspaper columnist, Andrew Bolt, The Bolt Report will continue to bring viewers the latest political and social commentary, panel discussions and interviews with leading Australians.

The expanded show will include a new News Watch segment to put the media under genuine scrutiny.

Network Ten Executive General Manager, Russel Howcroft, said: “As The Bolt Report enters its fourth year on TEN, it makes perfect sense to expand the show from 30 minutes to an hour.

“Half an hour was not enough. Expanding The Bolt Report to an hour will give the opportunity for more in-depth and extended interviews and analysis.

“The Bolt Report is already one of Australia’s most-watched television programs on politics and the new format will only add to its appeal and influence,” he said.

Mr Bolt said: “I am delighted to be returning to Network Ten in the expanded one-hour format. I will continue to talk to Australians about the things that matter to them, cutting through the spin without fear or favour. This new format lets me cut through the spin of so much of the media, too.”

Mr Bolt also runs Australia’s most-read political blog.

Mr Howcroft added that Network Ten’s Meet The Press was on hiatus at the moment.

The Bolt Report is produced for Network Ten in partnership with News Corp Australia, from Network Ten’s Melbourne station.
