Bose to nurture creative talent to promote release of new headphones

Bose Australia is promoting the release of new on-ear and around-ear headphones and earbuds with a “creative fund” aimed at promoting and nurturing Australian talent.

With a $20,000 grant up for grabs, the competition aims to position Bose as a brand associated with talent as it sets out to “identify and commend the unique talents and abilities of Australians”.

Bose is sharing the stories of a people working in various industries such as singer Guy Sebastian, DJ Tigerlily, surfer/photographer Cloudy Rhodes and Sydney artist Jess Bush with the aim of encouraging up-and-coming talent to share their stories.

The social media aspect of the competition, which allows entrants to share their talent using the hashtag #ListenForYourselfAU, and the program’s microsite has been created by OMD while Zeno Public Relations has worked on the campaign’s video content.

Bose Australia’s director of marketing and Bose Direct Max Sides said in a statement: “Bose has been celebrating excellence since 1964 and with the Bose Creative Development Fund we’re aiming to reach our audience with interesting, shareable content by engaging them with unique stories told by those who excel in their chosen field. Each of the stories shows the individuality of each person, their passion to do something different and not simply follow the crowd, and the role that music plays in their journey.”
