Brisbane radio ratings: Nova stays ahead in tight battle
In the tight Brisbane commercial FM market, dmgAustralia’s Nova106.9 has retained top spot, just ahead of ARN rivals 97.3FM.
Nova106.9 lifted by a percentage point from 12.1% to 12.2% moving just ahead of 97.3FM which rose from 11.7% to 12.1%.
Paul Jackson, dmg’s group program director, told Mumbrella: “In Brisbane it’s always a tight market we were up by 0.1 with Nova on 12.2 and 97.3FM on 12.1 so it’ll be good to keep the momentum going. We’re happy with that. In fact all the Novas are in a much healthier spot than they were a year ago.”
In the battle for the commercial breakfast slot, 97.3fm’s Robin, Terry & Bob jumped from 10.9% to 11.7% for the network to tie first with Nova’s Ash, Kip & Luttsy.
Triple M’s The Grill Team was a close third on 11.5% with a rise from 10.9%.
ABC612’s Spencer Howson won the breakfast slot on 14.8%.
Nova continued its success in the drive slot with a strong lead on its opposition. The syndicated Meshel, Tim & Marty show from 4-6 and Fitzy and Wippa’s hour-long show did see a 0.1% share drop but still remains on 15.2% ahead of nearest rival B105’s Fifi & Jules on 12.6% which also saw a lift from 12.2% last survey book.
