Brownlow Medal wins the night for Seven

The Brownlow Medal helped Seven to a comprehensive ratings win on Monday night.  

Despite the AFL event only being shown live  in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, Seven took a share of 35.7% for the night, accoring to preliminary ratings from OzTam.

Meanwhile, it was another slow night for Ten, which picked up only 16% of the viewing audience. The 7pm Project rated 673,ooo; Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? pulled in 693,000 and Good News Week 807,000.

  2. Yay! Now maybe they will show the finals live and not delayed as well into Sydney next year. Although I could drive to Terrigal to watch the finals live, but hey whats an hour right when there are amazing kids shows to watch from 630pm-830pm on 7 and 10!!!

  4. Tell me about it! I don’t understand the network’s AFL content snubbing Sydney audiences. If they want to push for a second team here, they should be playing finals matches and major events like the Bronlow Medal live on TV! This city drives me crazy sometimes!

  6. Thank goodness we didn’t have to put it with that AFL dribble on Sydney’s primetime. The majority of the population does not care, and Channel 7 sees that.
