They will be led by deputy editor Josie Brown who will split her time between the UK, US and New Zealand.

The sites will be co-edited by Campaign Brief editors Michael Lynch and Kim Shaw.

Lynch said: “Despite the strength of the US and UK trade press – and after encouragement from our creative director friends on both sides of the Atlantic over the last few years – we saw a gap in the market for a creatively-led blog like Campaign Brief.

“Josie comes to us with a huge wealth of knowledge and extraordinary expertise in the field. Her background in innovation and big brand building is world class. We’re extremely happy to have her partnering with us in our UK and US offering.”

The main competition for the site in the UK will come from Haymarket Media’s Brand Republic which includes Campaign magazine, Media Week and Marketing. The dominant title in the US is Advertising Age.

josie brownBrown, originally from New Zealand, has spent an 11 year agency career with agencies including RKCR/Y&R, iris and McCann London.

She said: “Combining what you’re most passionate about from your job and sharing ideas within your field, is the holy grail for anyone’s career. Joining Campaign Brief as the UK / US deputy editor is an incredible opportunity for me.

As well as its main Australian site, Campaign Brief already has WA, NZ and Asian editions.
