Carlton Draught promo welcomes return of footy season
Carlton Draught is welcoming the return of the AFL season with what it claims to be its biggest footy-related promotion yet.
Created by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, a campaign centres around a table football event to take place in Melbourne this Friday, featuring ex-AFL players Daniel Harford, Cameron Mooney and Scott Lucas.
The players are to take on the winners of a Facebook competition.
Alastair McCausland, marketing manager for Carlton Draught, said: ‘”Footy Rules’ is a cracking promotion that celebrates our partnership with the AFL in a way that’s true to Carlton Draught, reminding us not to take ourselves too seriously. We figured if Carlton Draught is going to sully years of sponsorship of the AFL with trinkets, we better do it right.”

WOW…… does it really take this many Agency people to create a very simple promo giveaway TVC??!!! No wonder clients are looking at smaller agencies who are more nimble and agile than BIG Agencies that need to justify all these people to a client and more…….to just shoot what is a very simple idea.

Glad to see Ben Birchall’s contribution is recognised by giving him a hyphen, not just a plain old colon like the rest.
