Charity asks Prime Minister if he has ‘Writer’s Block’ after he fails to respond to campaign

Australian Aid The Australian Turnbull campaign

Charity group Australian Aid has followed up its video ad campaign which mashed together speeches of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull with a tactical print ad aimed at him again.

The full page ad in The Australian today asks the PM if he has ‘Writer’s Block’ as it has yet to hear from him on its challenge to restore foreign aid investment.

“Come on Mr Turnbull we’ve gone to the effort of writing your speech for you, now you just need to make the announcement so that Australia can join other leading nations in the fight to end extreme poverty,” said executive officer for the Campaign for Australian Aid, Tony Milne.

“We need all politicians and political parties to support more and better aid. The aid budget has been cut by $11.3 billion we know that’s going to have devastating consequences.”

It comes after the ALP and Green parties committed to restoring funding to the aid budget.
