Cheese-crazed golfer and yogurt-obsessed doctor feature in new Aldi campaign
Supermarket chain Aldi is to launch new TV ads in its “Prices you’ll love talking about” ad campaign.
The two ads – by creative agency BMF – feature an annoying golfer dragging his cheap cheese into the game, and a doctor spruiking low priced yogurt during a patient consultation.

Love Aldi… Even more now they’ve got booze. Cheap, weird booze from Bulgaria.

In my personal opinion, these Aldi ads are nicely drawn and well scripted, but with not quite enough detail in the direction, particularly at the termination of both. The way an ad begins and especially the way it ends is vitally important to its success.
The Devondale ads, for example, are particularly fine for this reason as well as for their content.

Pretty lame I reckon. Not getting the lulz they were going for – falls a bit flat. And what the hell does an Interaction Design Lead and Catalog Lead have to do with creating a TVC exactly?
