Chef George Calombaris hunts for Australia’s worst ‘Disasterchef’ in campaign for MLA
Chef George Calombaris has joined the Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) in a search for the country’s most dismal cook in the next phase of the organisation’s Spring Lamb campaign.

“Disasterchef” will form part of the MLA’s You Never Lamb Alone platform, created last year by The Monkeys.
The agency is also behind the search for the nation’s most catastrophic kitchen creations with the competition to be promoted through radio, PR and MLA’s social channels.
An online video sees Calombaris, a judge on Network Ten’s Masterchef, listing the times when “You know you’re a Disasterchef” before asking people to post pictures and tell the world of their disasters on MLA’s dedicated Disasterchef Facebook page.
The creator of biggest culinary calamity will win a personal lamb cooking masterclass with Calombaris.
MLA group marketing manager Andrew Howie said: “We’re thrilled to have George on board for Disasterchef.
“He has long championed cooking with lamb, and together we’re looking forward to encouraging all Australian cooks – good and disastrous – top prepare a fail-safe and delicious lamb meal.”
