Chris Graham joins Ikon as COO
Media agency Ikon has appointed its first chief operating officer with Chris Graham joining from media spend consultancy Faulkner where he was GM.
Graham’s role at the STW-owned agency will include overseeing Ikon’s trading strategy. He starts on March 11.
Ikon’s national CEO, Dan Johns said: “Chris is a fantastic operator and leader; he will bring valuable skills and insights to our business helping us further develop our unique trading proposition. Operationally, we could not wish for a more thorough, disciplined and organised person to ensure our network of five offices in Australia receive the care and attention they need from the National Team.”
Graham added: “I am incredibly excited by the new challenges that lie ahead of me. I cannot wait for the opportunity to bring my media consultancy and operations experience to Ikon, an agency that I have always had the upmost respect for, driven by their transparency, client servicing and innovation”.
Eric Faulkner, boss of Faulkner Media Management said: “We will be really sorry to see him go. He has been an amazing colleague, leader and friend over the past 12 years.
As a wiser man than me said, the day you join STW a bullet gets fired at you, and one day it catches up..

Given the nature of the sensitive information that Chris has access to in the Faulkner pool, surely there has to be a non-compete period enforced here.
A start in January 2014 perhaps?
