Clarity levels? 50% of 30% of sod all

Ping! A news email arrives in Dr Mumbo’s inbox from the website Primped. And they’ve got some interesting industry news:

“64% of women are nearly twice as likely to use blogs than social networking sites as a source of information, 43% for advice and recommendations and 55% for opinion-sharing, while 75% are 50% more likely to turn to social networking sites as a means of keeping in touch with friends and family.”

Nice and clear?

  2. I’m sure marketers are now falling over themselves to act on that information. Or just falling over.

The two words that come to mind are ‘So what?’

  4. Differences in use of the web by gender: women like funny cat videos, men like porn.

  8. Clear & clear throughout. It’s nice to know there are still people who simplify research data in layman’s terms to be understood by all!

  10. 50% of 70% of all males with a 25-70 age group would consider, 35% of the time, that statistics are completely pointless and made up..
