Clemenger BBDO Melbourne promotes Paul McMillan to managing director
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has named managing partner Paul McMillan as the Melbourne’s office first managing director since Peter Biggs was promoted to CEO in 2006.
McMillan joined Clemenger in 2006 as a group account director, being promoted in 2008 to client service director before another promotion in 2011 to managing partner.
CEO Peter Biggs said in a statement: “Growth brings with it opportunities and challenges – and to grab those new opportunities and meet those challenges, we are adding extra firepower to the agency’s leadership.”
Prior to working with Clemenger, McMillan worked for 12 years as a group account director with George Patterson Bates.
In a statement McMillan said: “I’m really looking forward to working with Biggsy and James McGrath and the leadership team here at Clemenger to build on the extraordinary success of the agency, and continue to build world-class campaigns for our fantastic clients.”
Alongside the promotion, Clemenger has appointed Adrian Mills as group account director, he takes up the role next week.
Mills joins the agency from McCann Melbourne where he had been part of the team on the award-winning ‘Dumb Ways To Die’ campaign.
McMillan said of the appointment: “Adrian is one of the world’s most awarded account service people. We are thrilled to have him on board, he really gets the work, and he has the added bonus of being a seriously good bloke.”
maybe he’ll be able to afford some smarter clothes with the promotion
