Comms Council signs up NSW team

The Communications Council has moved to resuscitate its NSW based committee which went into mothballs while the merger between the Advertising Federation of Australia, AWARD and the APG took place.   

The announcement:

The Communications Council, Australia’s peak marketing communications body, today announces the composition of its New South Wales Committee.

Ten industry leaders join the Committee with Board Member Sudeep Gohil taking on the role of New South Wales Chairman in the Committee.

Daniel Leesong, CEO of the Communications Council said: “We are delighted to welcome the new Committee members to the Communications Council. Committee representatives are active members of the Communications Council and their participation plays a crucial role in achieving the broader objectives of the Council. “

“The Committee will be of great importance in voicing the needs and concerns of the local marketing communications industry and is instrumental in flagging New South Wales specific issues to the current National Board.”

The new NSW members are:

  • Alex Allwood – The Holla Agency
  • Andrew Black – Oddfellows
  • Lindsey Evans – Happy Soldiers
  • Sunita Gloster – Bellamyhayden
  • Mark Green- Three Drunk Monkeys
  • Lorraine Jokovic – Loud
  • Adrian Paul – Whybins TBWA
  • Damian Pincus – The Works
  • Andrew Robertson – RADAR
  • Nicole Taylor – George Patterson Y&R

Incoming NSW Chairman and Board Member Sudeep Gohil welcomed the new members and said: “I look forward to establishing a vibrant New South Wales Committee that addresses local priorities and am pleased to provide the link between the Committee and the Board.”

The first meeting of the Committee is scheduled for Monday 30 August.

The Communications Council is represented nationally through committees in all five states.
