Cummins & Partners bolsters strategy team in Melbourne and Sydney
Cummins & Partners has looked abroad for its latest appointments, hiring South African digital agency Gloo’s strategy director Theo Erasmus as planning director for Melbourne and JWT London’s Lorraine Tabet-Curtis in the same role for the newly opened Sydney office.
Adam Ferrier, global chief strategy officer said: “We’re hell bent on ensuring that strategic planning at Cummins & Partners is informed by science, data and creativity to help our clients build enduring brand platforms that drive action. Theo and Lorraine are both experienced, world class operators who’ll help drive and deliver our strategic planning product for our clients.
“It’s rare to have this level of planning talent in Australia and we are stoked they’ve chosen to join us.”
Erasmus joins the Melbourne office after nearly three years as strategy director at Gloo. Prior to Gloo Erasmus spent a year-and-a-half as the head of strategy at DDB Cape Town.
Tabet-Curtis joins the agency as planning director having most recently worked as global planning director at JWT London.
The agency now has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and New York.
“Its rare to have this level of planning talent in Australia” Really? Well, that’s a slap in the face.

“It’s rare to have this level of planning talent in Australia…”
That’s because good strategic talent usually leaves Australia.
Also, why do agencies bother PR-ing stuff like this? I can’t imagine anyone except the two people in this release care?
