CumminsRoss bolsters media department

CumminsRoss has expanded its media department with a number of hires in the last four weeks.

Eliza Briscoe and Sharni Armes have joined the agency’s media department in media director roles to be supported by ex Essendon FC ruckman David Hille who joins as a media executive

Briscoe comes to CumminsRoss after just over a year as a business director at Ikon Communications, bringing to the new role two years experience as a media controller/director – client side for L’Oreal Australia and NZ and 15 years experience as a media director at Mindshare.

Armes joins the agency after just over a year as a freelance contractor at Vizeum, having left her role as group investment director at ZenithOptimedia Australia at the end of 2012 after two-and-a-half years. Armes also did a stin with Mindshare from 2004 to 2007 as a media manager.

Chief media and innovations officer Kirsty Muddle said in a statement: “This agency is designed to create powerful ideas, both creative and commercial. The engine that drives this is media and creative working together seamlessly. We’ve employed not only the most skilled, but also talent that understand this culture.”

Lara Saunders has also joined the agency as financial controller, coming to the role after eight years as the finance manager for Starcom MediaVest Group. Prior to Starcom she had spent just over three years as a business analyst at Village Roadshow.

CumminsRoss managing director Chris Jeffares said in a statement: “We are continuing to grow, moving from the original eight founding partners to around 90 people in just three years. We are excited that our creative:media agency model has found its mark and continues to go from strength to strength in 2014.”
