DDB Melbourne appoints Darren Spiller as ECD to replace Grant Rutherford
DDB Melbourne has installed ex-Mojo creative honcho Darren Spiller as its new ECD.
Spiller replaces Grant Rutherford, who has left the agency to devote more time to cancer charity Snowdome Foundation.
Spiller joins from US agency Fallon, and takes on the new role next week.
DDB Melbourne boss Andrew Little said in a statement: “I am delighted to have Darren start at DDB Melbourne. I have admired his work both at Publicis Mojo and Fallon and he has created some of my favourite campaigns. I have known Darren for many years and believe he will make an enormous contribution to the agency, our people and our clients.”
DDB Group’s chairman and CEO Marty O’Halloran added: “Darren is one of the most highly regarded creative people in this region. I have no doubt he will be successful in his new role.”
Now that’s a coup. Good luck Dazza.
