DDB Melbourne ECD Grant Rutherford departs
The executive creative director of DDB Melbourne has left the agency.
Grant Rutherford calls time on a four-year stint with the agency to devote more time to work for cancer charity Snowdome Foundation.
A replacement for Rutherford is to be revealed in due course.
The announcement:
Mr Rutherford said, “DDB has been my life. It goes without saying it’s hard to leave a fantastic team you’ve loved and nurtured for so long. But firstly I’m going to dedicate more time to the Snowdome Foundation, a charity I co-founded to raise money for research into blood cancers. Snowdome is dedicated to the memory of my beautiful daughter Chloe, who lost her battle with Leukemia over two years ago.”
Group Managing Director Andrew Little said, “I have the highest respect for Grant and his motivations for wanting to spend time building on his work with Snowdome Foundation. I’d like to thank him for his enormous contribution to the agency and wish him the very best.”
Marty O’Halloran Chairman and CEO said “Grant epitomises DDB’s talented and nice ethos. He is held in the highest regard across our network and will be sorely missed by his many friends and colleagues. We hope to have the opportunity to work with him again in the future.”
Grant has spent the last four years at DDB Melbourne. In that time the agency has been crowned Agency of the Year multiple times and received recognition at the highest level for its work.
Details of Grant’s replacement will be announced early next week.
There will be no further comment from DDB Melbourne.
