Dean Capobianco joins as interim CEO

Dean Capobianco

Dean Capobianco, the former commercial director of NineMSN – who is part of the team to bring Chinese search giant Baidu to Australia – has joined News Digital Media site as interim CEO.

Capobianco fills in for outgoing boss Michael Harvey.

“My role here is to make sure that shareholders get continuity after Michael left, and to oversee the roll out of new products,” he told Mumbrella.

The ex-NineMSN staffer said that if offered the role on a permanent basis, he would accept it.

Capobianco has a non-executive director role at Trading Desk, the company that is reselling for Baidu. He said that the Baidu job is “after hours” for now.

Capobianco was promoted to run NineMSN’s sales operation in February last year, and left in January.

  2. Well done CareerOne … whether it be good luck or planning, Capobianco is the ideal successor for Harvey but why now beat about – make it permanent for heavens sake!
