Domestic Violence NSW teams with Joy Agency to launch Valentine’s Day awareness cards
Domestic Violence NSW has released a series of five Valentine’s Day cards designed to provide awareness about domestic violence.
The front of the cards features a greeting card-type love metaphor while listed on the back is a statistic about the effects of domestic violence on Australian communities, culture and families: 1 in 3 Australian women experience physical violence at the hands of somebody they know.
The cards are intended to raise awareness and money for programs offered by Domestic Violence NSW to help end violence against women through retail sales and by introducing the hashtag #CardsAgainstDomesticViolence.
Cards are available from selected Magnation stores, Paper2 and online at saintgertrude.com.au. If you, or someone you know needs support, call 1800 RESPECT.

Bit late, they should have come out a month ago?

But who’s actually going to use this?
Call me cynical but it looks like it does nothing for the cause that hasn’t already been done before. Awareness? Really?!
Probably do well in awards though

I’m not sure what you’re supposed to do with these? Laugh? Give them to someone you love? Seems odd.
