Drama the focus of Foxtel marketing push as Joanna Lumley takes leading roles in TV ads

British actress and presenter Joanna Lumley is fronting a new Foxtel marketing campaign as the Pay-TV operator looks to promote a number of its premium drama programs.

Lumley acts out a series of tongue-in-cheek roles based on the characters in Nashville, Wentworth, Orange Is The New Black, Mad Men, Outlander and Game of Thrones.

The campaign, which includes TVCs, digital, print and outdoor advertising and runs for three months, was shot in London by UK agency Brothers and Sisters.

Foxtel’s in-house creative team also worked on the executions.

The campaign highlights Foxtel’s drama programs and its Box Sets channel.

Foxtel executive director of sales and marketing Ed Smith said: “Joanna has brought her icon status, fabulous style and trademark wit to Foxtel.

“In this campaign she shares the breadth and depth of our incredible content line-up and our amazing Box Sets service, loaded with every episode of every season of many of the world’s best dramas. What a perfect way to slip into winter.”
