DTDigital appoints first HR manager: account director Kacey D’Odorico

DTDigital has created a new role – chief talent officer – as the STW Group agency passes the 100-staff mark following a period of expansion.

Former group account director Kacey D’Odorico moves into the role with a brief to “enhance “company culture” and “maximise career growth and employee satisfaction” at the agency, which has added 25 people since November last year.

D’Odorico has already started a number of “cultural exercises”, such as health, fitness and leadership programs, team building events and guest speakers.

Although D’Odorico has no HR experience, she was chosen for the role for her understanding of DTDigital’s culture, staff and clients.  She is currently receiving HR training.

“After such significant growth, it’s important that DTDigital invests in its employees so we are able to respond to their needs,” D’Odorico explained.  “Happy, motivated staff always equals happy clients. Our employees should feel as satisfied at DTDigital as we want our clients to.”

DTDigital has added new staff to its strategy, user experience, client service, mobile development, analytics and performance marketing teams, while a joint venture with sibling STW Group agency Junior, which is currently looking to hire its first on-ground staff member in Brisbane, will mean further expansion.

Brian Vella, DTDigital’s MD said: “We’re very excited to have Kacey as our new chief talent officer. Being a long-standing employee she really understands DTDigital, and its staff and clients. We believe this is essential in this role.”
