Edelman Melbourne hires Brian Shrowder as senior counsel

Edelman Melbourne has appointed corporate reputation advisor Brian Shrowder as senior counsel.

The announcement:

Edelman Melbourne announced today it has appointed corporate reputation advisor Brian Shrowder as senior counsel. With more than three decades experience in corporate communications and broadcast media, Shrowder joins one of Australia’s fastest growing public relations firms.

Shrowder will provide Edelman clients with expert counsel in corporate reputation management, issues and crisis handling and media relations strategies. He is a highly experienced media trainer who has coached hundreds of corporate and government spokespeople in Australia and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Edelman, Shrowder worked with Hill+Knowlton for 12 years in Melbourne, Sydney and the Middle East where he was regional director for crisis and training. In this role he developed issues and crisis management strategies for some of the region’s largest companies and conducted crisis and spokesperson training for clients around the world.

Shrowder began his career as a television news presenter with the ABC. He then moved to Network Ten where his roles included business correspondent for Ten News in Melbourne and Network News Producer, overseeing the production, content and coordination of news stories nationally. As a reporter, Brian won several national and local awards for his work.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Adelaide.
