An advanced course in using social media for marketing and communications, designed and developed by The Conscience Organisation.

This TCO social media training course features thought-provoking and educational sessions developed to enable marketeers, corporate professionals, digital strategists and others to broaden their social media capabilities and think differently about their approach to marketing in a digital age. These sessions have been presented to corporate businesses, across all levels from marketing teams to board of directors.

Every Tuesday evening from 6.00 – 7.30pm (arrival from 5.30pm)

Cost: $799 full six week course or $149.00 per session

Week 1:  Social Ideas 

This is an interactive session exploring the creation & planning a Social Idea – ideas that foster conversation, reinterpretation, participation and involvement from communities. This will be a useful session to understand how to plan & use tactical social media activities to gain exponential awareness/understanding of your brand / business activities leveraging primarily earned and owned media.

Week 2:  Social media 102 

Uncover who and what people do on the path-to-purchase and how they get information in our digital world. Identify the problems and opportunities within the current models; discuss consumer trends that are going to affect the future path to purchase and how we can innovate to future proof the bottom line and drive post purchase advocacy along the way.

Week 3:  Listening, Consumer Revelation & ROI 

The session that shows the true value of the social world. Data is great but is nothing without strategy, analytics and more importantly insight. Social media allows you to consistently monitor your consumers, understand their behaviour and more importantly deliver true consumer revelations that can feed marketing and communications. Overlaying on this the value of social media and how to make a real ROI on social and sell the power of it internally.

Week 4: Digital PR 

How do you create ideas that have digital PR at the core? You come along to this session to find out. Understanding consumer behaviour, cultural movement and pop culture to deliver ideas that are infectious. Covering influencer and outreach, storytelling for digital media and how the real world to digital world is converging within PR.

Week 5: Corporate reputation & risk management in Social Media

Managing and mitigating risk is essential for any company wishing to embark on a social media strategy. This session will discuss best practices and provide recommendations on how you can avoid the pitfalls of this ‘always on’ medium. A useful session for on ground social media teams through to corporate and legal affairs.

Week 6: What gets shit shared… 

Explores the motivational drivers which compel people to share their experiences with products & brands and how these can be harnessed more effectively by marketeers, strategists, creatives, planners and anyone who wants to gain more exposure for their brand or business. It also re-explores the idea of Social Currency and how brands & businesses can maximise their opportunities within social media to earn exposure from their branded communications initiative.
